A 5 day workshop to coincide with the 1st Contemporary Jewellery Biennale in Lisbon on the theme of protection.

The First Lisbon Contemporary Jewellery Biennial, asks us to reflect on the significance of Body, Fear and Protection through its exhibition programme, talks, meetings and workshops. The pandemic that we are all experiencing, as well as the fear and uncertainty it has brought, led us to select salient features in the history of jewellery -those of physical and spiritual protection- as the biennial theme and invite a discussion on what this means in the 21st century.
